Paint & Coatings Evaluation
Modjeski and Masters has extensive experience in the inspection, planning, and specification development for paint/coatings on a variety of bridges. We regularly work with bridge owners and contractors to review project submittal's, containment design, and lead compliance plan, and provide all project administration/inspection of all cleaning, painting, and waste handling operations.
With the growing number of coatings projects involving structural steel repairs, due to delayed maintenance, many M&M coating inspectors are cross-trained in structural bridge inspection to assist in identifying deterioration following blast cleaning that may require further evaluation. Some of our inspectors are experienced in construction and can oversee structural repairs. Similarly, during our bridge structural inspection work, coating condition assessments are an important component of the bridge evaluation and inform our maintenance and preservation recommendations.
