Clarksburg Lighting

Modjeski and Masters is working with the Division of Highways (WVDOH), Traffic Engineering Division, to develop contract plans for the upgrade of the existing lighting facilities and the installation of new roadway lighting along the US-50 Clarksburg Expressway from Wilsonburg Road to Bridgeport Hill Road, for approximately 6.25 miles, including all ramps and side road intersections through the project limits. All existing median barrier lighting and ground mounted conventional poles will be replaced with high mast lighting towers utilizing LED lighting fixtures. Existing high mast towers will remain, but the HPS lighting fixtures will be re-lamped with new LED fixtures. CCTV cameras, Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS), and sign lighting with LED fixtures will also be designed/modified throughout the project limits to accommodate the new lighting design layout. Design is complete and construction is expected to be awarded in August 2021.
