M&M Opens New Raleigh, NC Office

RALEIGH, NC |  Modjeski and Masters is pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Raleigh, NC! The office is the firm’s only in the state, its 11th location overall, and second new office in the past nine months. This highlights the firm’s continued growth, as well as its dedication to this particular region.

“We have a long history of working closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to design and build bridges that improve the state’s infrastructure and bring people closer together,” said Michael F. Britt, PE, senior vice president and director of business development at Modjeski and Masters. “North Carolina has the second most small towns of any state. This means there are great opportunities to better connect communities with efficient, innovative engineering. Our new office puts our expert staff closer to these communities so we can provide additional life-cycle engineering services to the NCDOT and other clients to better serve the region’s infrastructure needs.”

Jason Doughty, PE, will lead the new Raleigh office. Doughty has thorough knowledge and experience working in both traditional and design-build projects. He has served as a bridge engineer on a wide range of projects including new and replacement bridge designs, existing bridge rehabilitations including historic bridges, and fatigue and seismic evaluations. His recent work experience in North Carolina and with NCDOT means that Modjeski and Masters will have a unique, insider perspective on the state’s transportation needs and how to solve them. Doughty began his engineering career with Modjeski and Masters in 1997.

“My engineering career was invaluably shaped by my time at Modjeski and Masters,” said Doughty. “It made me who I am today. Returning feels like a homecoming. The firm’s ethics, unmatched technical excellence, and responsiveness to client needs perfectly align with my approach to bridge engineering. I am very excited about the opening of the North Carolina office and feel honored and privileged to expand the company in this region.”
