Tom Cole Promoted to Senior Project Manager

Modjeski and Masters is pleased to announce Tom Cole has been promoted to Senior Project Manager in the firm’s New York Regional Business Unit. Tom joined M&M full-time in 2003 and works in the firm’s Poughkeepsie office.
He manages a variety of bridge projects, and his experience has included the structural analysis, design, detailing, and rehabilitation of a variety of bridges including suspension, truss, girder, and various movable bridges.
"When I started in our New Orleans office as a summer intern in 2001, I never would have imagined that I would become a Senior Project Manager at M&M. I have worked with many truly incredible people in my career that I would like to thank for humoring, encouraging, and mentoring me to become the engineer and person I am today and I can only hope to provide some small portion of the same to all of the younger staff that I am blessed to work with today," remarked Tom.
Tom has contributed to many notable projects, including:
- Huey P. Long Bridge Widening
- NYSDOT Orange County Design-Build 7 Bridge Bundle
- TBTA RK-23A – Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Manhattan Approach Ramps
- MassDOT New Bedford – Fairhaven Swing Bridge Replacement (ongoing)
- Dutchess County Bridge E-9, Palen Road over Fishkill Creek
- NYSDOT Wurts Street Suspension Bridge Rehabilitation
"Tom is a true Project Manager, managing entire projects, including team members and subconsultants performing other disciplines. Tom has also contributed greatly to the success of several large multi-discipline design-bid-build and design-build projects. He has become a key leader in our office operations and hiring decisions, and I am confident his role in the management of the NY office will only continue to grow," said Quentin Johnson, Vice President and New York Regional Director.
Tom completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering at Tulane University. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, Louisiana, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and West Virginia and is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction.
