Modjeski and Masters designs bridges with the same enthusiasm and dedication exhibited by Ralph Modjeski, the firm's founder. The company is renowned for its expertise in the design of long-span bridges.
Our designs have always been based on a tradition of forging new ground when faced with engineering challenges. Recently, our designs have successfully undertaken a new paradigm in bridge engineering: balancing emerging technology with public acceptance. During our design of the Second Blue Water Bridge, the public participated in the development of concepts for the twinning of this historic structure, while the design broke boundaries as the first to use the new LRFD specification. Currently, this combined experience is being applied to our design of the New Mississippi River Bridge in St. Louis, our 17th bridge to span this river.
At Modjeski and Masters, the future will always be an extension of the past. Our work is influenced by a legacy of trend setting designs, long-lasting structures, attention to detail, and a belief that a small part of the human soul goes into each project.
