Modjeski and Masters is well known for leading a team in the development of AASHTO’s Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) bridge specification and commentary. Modjeski and Masters has assisted several transportation agencies in the conversion of their in-house bridge design specifications, standard drawings and computer programs to be in agreement with the new LRFD specifications. Through the years, Modjeski and Masters has developed, modified, updated and converted bridge design codes, specifications and standard drawings for numerous clients including:the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and AASHTO.

Modjeski and Masters develops bridge engineering courses covering a wide range of topics for departments of transportation, railroad owners, universities, and trade groups. These courses can be developed and tailored to meet your needs: for large or small groups, for graduate engineers or technicians, and highly theoretical or practical applications. Recent courses were developed for Load and Resistance Factor Design for Highway Bridges, Railway Structures Loading and Highway and Railroad Bridge Inspection. The course lengths vary from several hours to several days. Our course instructors can arrange for a facility near you to be used for the course, or they can come directly to your facility.

Our continued commitment to, and implementation of, research and analysis, code development, and course development enables us to stay on the cutting edge of bridge and highway engineering.
