Project Information:

The Mid-Hudson Bridge is a 3000 foot suspension bridge over the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie, New York. The bridge was opened to traffic in 1930 and currently carries over 12 million vehicles per year.

Services included the preparation of a study report with an evaluation of alternatives, final design including plans, specifications and engineer's estimate, and construction support services. Design included widening the toll plaza and toll canopy from four to five lanes, implementing EZPass automated toll system, reconstruction of portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete pavements, drainage improvements, high mast roadway lighting, a new maintenance building, stormwater management and maintenance and protection of traffic staging to maintain four lanes of traffic during rush hour periods.
