Project Information:

This steel arch bridge connects Niagara Falls, New York with Niagara Falls, Ontario. The arch span length is 1000 feet and total length is 1600 feet. The deck is 370 feet above the river and currently carries four lanes of traffic. This project involves removing the existing median and constructing a fifth traffic lane in its place. The project also includes repairs to the substructure. Two lanes of traffic were maintained during construction.

The project mandated involvement from both Canadian and US firms. Modjeski and Masters, Inc., as a subconsultant to Totten Sims Hubicki Associates of Ontario, is providing a U.S. Construction Inspection Team consisting of a Team Captain/Assistant Resident Engineer, two inspectors, and a coating/substructure inspector.
