Modjeski and Masters offers
training in the area of Technical Access Techniques. Our designated
Technical Access Program Coordinator, is the main contact for matters
relating to the safety, training and regulatory aspects of technical access
climbing and rappelling. He is knowledgeable,
experienced and qualified in rope and technical climbing access techniques.
The Technical Access Program Coordinator designates
the positions (titles) of Technical Access Worker, Technical Access Rigger
and Technical Access Supervisor based on an evaluation of each individual's
abilities and experience as demonstrated to the Technical Access Program
Coordinator. Work teams are made up of no less than two qualified Technical
Access individuals, where one member of the team should be a Technical
Access Rigger. The positions are defined as follows:
Technical Access Workers inspect and ensure proper
tie-in of personal harness and inspect and ensure safe anchor points in
order to conduct their inspection work.
Technical Access Riggers are responsible for
identifying potential safe anchors and construct safe anchor systems. They
supervise Technical Access Worker(s) where assigned by Technical Access
Supervisor.
Technical Access Supervisors ensure overall safety for
individuals involved in technical access operations, assigns positions of
Rigger to qualified individuals, ensures that all technical access work is
properly supervised, and that there are a proper number of qualified
personnel involved at any one job site.
